My first trip to Mount Vernon. I was visiting my brother in law in Vienna VA and we made a day trip to Mount Vernon. I was greatly impressed especially with the fact Mount Vernon is completely privately funded. I want to return and dine in the on-site restaurant. I have heard really good things about it. I recommend Mount Vernon to anyone who will listen. Phillip Ross, 2019

My wife and I were out there December 13, 2019, for the Mt Vernon by Candle Light Tour. It was a foggy night, and you could see the light coming out of the front of the mansion, cutting through it. Brent McDonald, 2019

Our son absolutely loves spending time at Mount Vernon, especially with the animals! It’s hard to peel him away from his farm friends but we enjoy showing him all the wonderful things around the estate. We can’t wait to come back and come together soon. Hale Allegretti, 2019

We are so grateful to live on land originally owned by George Washington (Union Farm), just up from his estate, where we have the opportunity to introduce all our friends to our founding father and his amazing history. These are special friends, Ankica and Miso, whom we came to love while we were living in Croatia. They were thrilled to visit Mount Vernon and learn more of the our nation's history. This is my son, Jonathon. He loves animals and made a special connection with the sheep in the photo, naming him Henry! He posed with him here. We always look for Henry now when we see updates from Mount Vernon and hope he is well! When we return there, we look for him and say hello! Val Crofts, 2017

Since I retired to Maryland from upstate New York in 2012 and became a member of Mount Vernon, we come several times a year to enjoy Mount Vernon in all seasons, especially when we have visitors. Here, my granddaughter Ciera and her husband Jon visiting from New York, with my great-grandson Kohen, and my Maryland granddaughter Cecilia. We've loved every special program and event attended during these years, and always hope to take in more of them in the future! Mary Kish, 2019

My mother in law was visiting from Kansas and she took this photo of me (Susan) and my boys Will (left) and Jack. They spent more time in the garden compared to any of the other outdoor areas as they loved seeing what was growing; and me dreaming of having a mini version of such a garden of my own!
